A multi-award winning independent
factual production company

Atlantic Productions, founded in 1992, is a multi-award winning independent factual production company and pioneer in immersive storytelling. Atlantic has won over 50 international awards including 11 Emmys and 4 British Academy Awards (BAFTA), including the first ever BAFTA for virtual reality storytelling.

Atlantic’s award-winning television, theatrical films, IMAX, and immersive experiences have been seen in over 150 countries around the world. Our work has covered 13 projects with David Attenborough, the acclaimed BBC series Inside the Commons, landmark series ‘The Promised Land’ created with the BBC and Discovery, and the award-winning theatrical films ‘The Wildest Dream: Conquest of Everest’ and ‘Hawking: Can You Hear Me?’

Atlantic was described by WIRED magazine as being “behind some of the most exciting advancements in VR, AR and AI storytelling”. Atlantic is one of the fastest growing immersive companies covering education, health, and entertainment. Recent immersive collaborations include Google, Apple, Meta, NASA, and Harvard Medical School. In December 2023 Atlantic released Galapagos with David Attenborough, a major VR experience in collaboration with Meta. It is one of the most popular releases on the Meta headset. In January 2024, Apple announced that Atlantic is one of the leading content partners on the Apple Vision Pro. An Atlantic film with Apple Immersive video, ‘Adventure – Highlining’, was included in the launch of the headset.

Atlantic is respected for its unparalleled access and world-class storytelling. Now, in embracing the extraordinary potential of XR and AI technologies, we lead the way in the new era of immersive storytelling.
