About Royal Academy of Engineering
On National Engineering Day, Atlantic Productions partnered with the Royal Academy of Engineering to celebrate a contemporary engineering role model Alice Kan, through an augmented reality experience.
To celebrate Alice’s crucial work manufacturing the COVID vaccine, a colourful statue designed by renowned visual artist Kelly Anna was unveiled in London, and brought to life in augmented reality for young people across the country to dive deeper into her story.
The web-based experience allowed aspiring engineers to place the statue in their own homes, and learn about Alice and her engineering journey through interactive hotpots.
The experience was launched on Apple Vision Pro at Royal Academy of Engineering’s Innovation Late, letting people get up close and hands-on with a life sized model of the statue, experiencing her story in a brand-new way.
